“Whenever you feel fed up with life, start writing: ink is the great cure for all human ills, as I have found out long ago.” (C.S. Lewis)
I started this blog to record my thoughts and engage in conversation on a variety of topics: God, the Church, Life Issues, Sexuality, and Media Blindness. As a convert from the Evangelical faith, I became Catholic in large part by arguing my way towards the Faith. I realize that a certain joie de combat will flow from my writing because, well, I love to argue. I am not one to mull something over endlessly and only pronounce it once it’s absolutely air-tight – the very act of engaging other minds through argumentation is the way I prefer to think.
That being said: please comment, link, and share – giving credit where it’s due. Argue, challenge me, and above all ask fantastic questions.
Comments are subject to moderation: Please attempt to be Charitable, not merely “polite”. Assume the best from others and from me. This is not that my Ego is fragile, but rather I have found that healthy debate and conversation rather are. Angry arguments can be found with startling ease on the net – I would prefer this site remain quite unlike the Whopper – that is, flame free. If you don’t know the person you’re responding to, pretend it’s your grandmother. Unless, of course, your grandmother was a nasty wench who beat you. Well, you get the idea, right? Good. If you feel I have failed to live up to this standard, please point it out as specifically and quickly as possible.
This world is a tangled mess, but I’ll do my best to show you how I’ve navigated it to get where I am. I expect you’ll come up with some things I’ve missed along the way, and we can both get to a better place together.
